NO ONE.I know this book is mainly about Cage and Tegen, but I’m going to talk about Dirty and Ellie first…because they are one of my favorite book couples ever!!!!Dirty and Ellie:I’ve NEVER read a story like Dirty and Ellie’s story. At first, they seem like the most unlikely couple. Their paths cross and they quickly share similar fears and experiences. Dirty’s fear is….himself. He is not a good man, and he’s not exaggerating. Ellie fears that her attacker will find her again. They find disturbing solace with each other. They don’t fall in love right away. I secretly wish they had their own book so we could have known more of their story. Their story is…indescribable. My Dirty:He was nothing. He was shit. He was a damaged, deranged, sick motherfucker who deserved to be put the fuck down. He shouldn’t have lived for as long as he had; he didn’t deserve to share the same earth with people like Ellie, people who laughed over burnt popcorn even after they’d been stripped of their dignity. My Ellie:I’m sorry, but you’re just going to have to deal with that, the fact that I need to love you. Because I’m not going to stop, not ever. You did this, you made me love you by just being you and, all my life, everything I’ve ever wanted, I worked hard to get it, and now I want you and I want you to love me and want you to want to be loved in return.I would not have loved this book so much if it didn’t have Dirty and Ellie’s story. Dirty is one of the most fucked up motherfuckers I’ve ever read, and I love him. When he killed Daniel, it was so disturbing….and I loved it!Pain to make the pain go away. Cage and Tegen:Tegen has loved Cage…forever. It’s one of the most heartbreaking types of love…unrequited. When shit isn’t flying out of their mouths, and they actually calm the fuck down to hold, kiss, fuck, or make love….it really is amazing.It felt like the physical equivalent to an ice cream sundae… My Cage:My Tegen:If my past were a person, I would grab the throat of that motherfucker, drag her ass down Re-do Street, and once I’d beaten the ever-loving shit out of her, I’d stand over her beaten-down, broken body and say: “You stupid bitch. You ignorant, stupid bitch. Love isn’t a fucking answer. 3.75 SWEET FUCKING JESUS STARS!!!!!I went through A LOT of emotions while reading this book, and I still don’t really know how I feel about it. This is my emotional progression:The prologue ripped me open!!! Spiderman. Batman. Superman. Ironman.The sex was bomb-tastic!!VOODOO PUSSY!!!!! LMAO!!!!I hate you, Tawny!!!!!So much of this:Fight for yourself, Rylee! I want and I hate and more than anything, I feel.Colton!!! Stop treating her like shit or I’m going to kill you!!!!Rylee and Colton, you need to stop acting like children!!!!Ugh! The ending!I REALLY liked the characters.I REALLY liked the writing.I LOVED Colton’s POV!!I just wish she would have gone a different route with the story line. Colton’s childhood was so sad and traumatic and heart-breaking, and that’s the part of the story that I liked. Who knew that three little words that mean so much good could actually be evil in someone’s eyes. There are some 5-star moments in this book, but it just wasn’t enough to carry it, and then the author would take the story to this asinine place. I was pulled back and forth between 5 and 3 star moments the whole book.I was skimming the ending. Yes, I understand this is a trilogy, but when the reader knows that you’re dragging it out BECAUSE it’s a trilogy…..not good.I haven’t decided if I’ll read the third book yet. Well, stop it and read this book instead!!!This book is for YOU.Sexy. Sweet. Heart-warming. Bossy. Dirty. This book made me FEEL. I sigh into the welcoming silence, grateful for the chance to escape, even if only momentarily, from the mindsuck of the meaningless conversations on the other side of the door.That is the first sentence. I was sucked in from the beginning. This author can WRITE!!!The story is about Colton and Rylee. Both are broken. Both feel an undeniable, aching pull toward each other. They meet behind stage at a charity function, and their first meeting will take your breath away! Yes, this book is Panty-dropping hot! But it’s also sweet! There are so many MOMENTS in this book. You just have to read it!!!My Colton:Rogue. Rebel. Reckless. Colton is a famous race car driver. He is a bad boy, and he knows it. The man can talk dirty. The man can fill out denim. He had a rough childhood and was adopted when he was five. He is very mysterious about his past. He keeps Rylee at an emotional distance because he knows he is not able to love and doesn’t want to hurt her. My Rylee:Rylee is a social worker in charge of The House, a home for 7 young boys who would be lost in the foster care system, if Rylee was not there to care for them. These moments with these boys are so endearing, you may have a few tears. Rylee struggles with moving on, with guilt. She has already loved and lost, and she fears falling for a man who can just fuck ‘em and chuck ‘em. She also keeps Colton at a distance because she is afraid of getting too close. She isn’t a crazy runner, but she keeps the walls up around her heart. Rylee leads with her head instead of her heart. She is a thinker and is constantly doubting her heart’s pull toward Colton.I love all of the music references. Colton and Rylee communicate through music sometimes by texting songs with lyrics they want to say, whether they are fun, serious, or just damn sexy!A slow, seductive ballet highlighted with breathy moans and panted whimpers.WARNING: This book causes spontaneous melting!!“I. Do. Not. Take. What’s. Not. Offered. And we both know, sweetheart, you offered,” he smirks. “Willingly.”Can cotton candy be sexy?? Of course, the pranks keeps going, which makes for a hilarious book!!!Their relationship is perfect because they started off as frenemies (friends/enemies). Love/hate relationships are the best. WHY IS THIS BOOK 500 MILLION PAGES LONG!!!!? IT NEEDS TO BE 150 PAGES!!!If you know me at all, you know that I love to FEEL something. I don't care what emotion it is, anger, love, hate, fear, sadness...SOMETHING!!!I felt something during the sex (cough, cough), but that's about it. The sex was smoking, but it was few and far between. The characters weren't unique or interesting at all.The rest of the book felt like a long, boring business meeting.Thumbs down.

Eyes filling up like a glass of water. A migraine-inducing cry.That’s the thing about pain. It demands to be felt.And then there are books…which you can’t tell people about, books so special and rare and yours that advertising your affection feels like a betrayal.I’m one of those people that often question my purpose in my squirrelly life. Even now, the reason I am writing this review is so that there is a little more purpose in why I read so many books. It gives me an excuse to be less selfish. It’s the little moments in life, that’s what matters. This book has helped to remind me of this. As he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep; slowly, and then all at once.This book is about Hazel, told from her point of view. She is a cancer patient, but she wouldn’t like that I just called her a cancer patient. She is dry. She is witty. She is awesomesauce.I kept thinking that it sounded like a dragon breathing in time with me like I had this pet dragon who was cuddled up next to me and cared enough about me to time his breaths to mine.She soon meets Augustus in a support group. He is in remission and is also hilarious. They soon find solace in each other’s banter. I wish I had an Augustus when I was sixteen. He is….I can’t even find the words for him. I’m terrible with words, especially after reading this John Green book. I will love Augustus forever…okay.There really isn’t much to say about the story line except that it is perfection. It seems like a story that’s been told before, but trust me when I say that you have never read this story before. Has an author ever made you cry just from writing a simple sentence about nothing? John Green’s words are….beauty personified. He captures…life on pages. Life in all its beauty and all its ugliness, and still makes me laugh through it all, and isn’t that the point?I’m tasting the stars.
